THE MONTH OF JUNE
Summer has arrived in the 38 Communities.
The days are longer, the mountains are greener, and community activities are picking up throughout Forest Falls, Mountain Home Village, Angelus Oaks, and along the Highway 38 corridor.
WHAT HAPPENED
• The 25th Annual Forest Falls Chili Cook-Off brought neighbors and visitors together over Memorial Day Weekend.
• Supper on the Hill gathered community members at Big Falls Lodge for food and conversation.
• The Frozen Green Thumb Garden Club held its annual Plant Sale on June 6, helping support local gardening and beautification efforts.
WHAT'S HAPPENING
• Thursday Market Nights continue at Big Falls Lodge throughout June. (Note: Could Change)
• Music Night takes place Mondays at Big Falls Lodge.
• Yoga classes continue at Fallsvale School.
• The Needlers Knitting Group meets Tuesdays in Forest Falls.
• Local organizations continue planning summer activities and events.
COMMUNITY UPDATE
Wildfire season is here.
Residents are encouraged to review evacuation plans, maintain defensible space around their homes, and stay informed about local preparedness efforts. The Mill Creek Canyon Fire Safe Council continues its transition toward FireSafe38, with a focus on education, fuel reduction, preparedness, and community resilience.
LOOKING AHEAD
July brings several community events, including:
• Supper on the Hill – July 2
• Search & Rescue Pancake Breakfast – July 18
• East Mountain Emergency Preparedness Festival – July 25
