Hosted by the Angelus Oaks Fire Safe Council, the second annual East Mountain Emergency Preparedness Festival offers an opportunity to meet local emergency response agencies, explore emergency equipment, enjoy family activities, visit vendors, and learn more about wildfire preparedness and community safety.

Summer visitors are returning to our trails, waterfalls, campgrounds, and mountain businesses. Whether you're a longtime resident or discovering the area for the first time, please help keep our communities welcoming, safe, and beautiful.

WHAT'S BEING BUILT AT SR-38 & BRYANT?

If you've driven past the intersection of Highway 38 and Bryant near the ranger station recently, you've probably noticed the construction activity and wondered what's going on.

According to Caltrans project information, the work is part of a safety improvement project that includes installing traffic signals and related traffic control equipment at the intersection.

The project is intended to improve traffic flow and safety for vehicles entering and exiting Highway 38.

While rumors have circulated about a possible roundabout or other major roadway changes, available project information indicates the work is focused on a signalized intersection.

We'll continue to follow the project and provide updates as construction progresses.

Have you noticed changes at the intersection or heard information about the project? Let us know what you've observed. Facebook Group
